I answered this question this morning. I borrowed the answer from another program. the truth is that our cancellation policy has been to refund the money. It's pretty clear that that isn't always in everyone's best interest (And we've been ut a time, or two). I'll be taking this to the board later this month. We'll re-word it,but I expect it to stick:

Cancellations
If we must cancel a course, students will receive a full refund of any payments made for that course. Students who cancel their enrollment more than 21 days prior to the first day of the course will receive a refund less a $50 cancellation fee to cover administrative costs. In recognition of the time and energy instructors invest in preparing for courses, students who cancel their enrollment 21 days or less prior to the first day of the course will not be eligible for a refund.
